Next Competition:

Thursday, 19 October 2017 7:45 p.m. - Landscape

The PSNZ definition is: “Photographs which capture a sense of “space” and “place” and tell a story of the scene before the camera. A landscape will typically combine elements of earth, sea or sky. The image may include human elements for scale and context but not to the extent that they become the predominant element. Creative enhancement of the images is acceptable provided that the resulting image still reflects the essential story of what is seen in that landscape”.

While there are many interpretations of landscape photography for the purposes of this competition the genre excludes cityscapes and abstract ‘landscapes’ (e.g. close ups of objects and forms other than nature).

NB: If your image is memorable and fits the brief we like to use these images in the George Chance Landscape competition. Your chance to star twice!! Take your time and choose your spot to record a landscape to take our breath away.
